The travelling exhibition Contemporary Norwegian Architecture # 7, a part of the Sofia Architecture Week festival, has been touring the globe since 2011. It started out in Brazil, it visited Cuba, and Bulgaria is now the sixth European country to welcome it. The exhibition displays the best of Norwegian architecture created between 2005 and 2010 – from small houses to public buildings to infrastructure and urban planning.

The Fourth Kilometer project by Missirkov/Bogdanov initially started as a commission for documenting the infrastructural development of a building site. Missirkov/Bogdanov have approached the task like archaeologists doing field research. Every single object they find – a remnant of human presence, a graffito left in memory of life on duty is turned into an artifact in their photographs. The viewer gets immersed into a space long abandoned by man and time that is quietly anticipating its upcoming future.

Author’s project within the frameworks of a programme presenting young, yet familiar to the public, authors in the unreconstructed space on the second floor of the museum
By means of objects, sound and printed materials, Ivo Bistrichki propagandises the existence of a utopian state called Eurasia 2084.

Sofia Arsenal – Museum of contemporary art continues its program for young but already known to the audience authors in the unrepaired space on the museum’s second floor.
Created in different medias as photography, sculpture, sound, text in Braille, the multisensory exhibition of Alberto Staykov brings together 25 works – not just a collection of various photographic techniques, but a look that is turned inwards, to our essence, because everything starts from ourselves.

The exhibition illustrates in complete form the projects Bright Future and The Year of Our Discontent. It all started in 2011 as a series of workshops, activities, presentations and projections on political topics. We shared through them ideas and comments on our social reality and the ever-changing urban surroundings. But our public was also given platform to express their thoughts. Proven methods of propaganda were used - political typography, posters, movies, clothing and other old advertising techniques, combined with contemporary means, so that the messages could reach more people.

The exhibitions Briefly and Crisis is a Greek Word are part of the program Sofia Design Week in Sofia Arsenal – Museum for Contemporary Art
