The exhibition documents the social injustice based on the certainty that the photograph has changed not only people’s perception but, in some cases, altered the cause of history. The mission of FotoEvidence is to relate the human stories behind the cold statistic for murdered and injured in order to draw attention to human rights violations, injustice, oppression and assaults on sovereignty or human dignity wherever they may occur.

Living Dreams. Dreaming Lives shows photo and film pieces, created during a six-month stay of Borjana Ventzislavova in Los Angeles funded by a MAK-Schindler Scholarship. The exhibition presents the series Permanent Casting, It shakes everywhere, the video Only-acting and the 2-channel video American dream acting.

The exhibition is realized with the assistance of Becker Strasse Gallery.

Sofia Underground 1997-2003 Files presents the festival
in its first years and authentic form. The video documentation from the period 1997-2003 with performances and actions of some of the most interesting writers of the Bulgarian scene can be seen in SAMCA. In addition the video documentation “files” containing photos and articles
and several original works, and the parallel program of the exhibition presents performances and interventions
performed live.

Workshop for children

Charity project for creative children between 6 and 14 years: make a collage or a drawing in the museum and give a reproduction of your work to help other children to create art.
The workshop will take part 30 March 2013 (Saturday) between 11 and 15 pm.
Children will be accompanied by students of Fine Arts and designers from Artelie.
With the support of Artelie, Impresia, Harmonica, and DATA Printing house.

The show Creating the Myth is part of the program of Sofia Queer Forum 2012. The forum explores the idea of gender through the means of contemporary art as non-binary, flexible term, dependent on social, political, cultural and medical factors.
