Especially for the occasion, works of art from the collections of the National Gallery and the European Parliament are being exhibited in the Parliament building.

The exhibition was officially opened on 23.01.2018, by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Ms Amelia Gesheva.

The exhibition ‘Synergy’ explores the interconnections between cultural heritage, visual arts, and the surrounding environment, contemporary human’s place in it, and the example that he follows, but also develops. The media of painting, photography and video art are used to emphasise the importance of achieving good communication and synergy between those different fields connected with heritage: conservation, research, sustainability, technology, and education. Artworks related to the theme, selected from the Bulgarian works of art the European Parliament Art Collection and the Bulgarian National Gallery are on display.
